Advent at Beautiful Savior
Advent is a time of preparation.
For at least the last 1500 years, Christians around the world have found it helpful to set aside the last four weeks before Christmas to prepare our hearts to celebrate Christ's coming. We think about his first coming as a child in Bethlehem, the way he continues to come to us in his Word, and the day when he will come again in glory at the end of all time.
Consider making use of these tools to help prepare your hearts:
Sundays in Advent
Starting on Sunday, December 1st, we gather around the Advent Wreath and focus on the gifts that Jesus came to bring us.
Midweek Advent Services
We meet for special evening worship services on the first three Wednesdays in December (4th, 11th and 18th) at 7pm. In these shorter services of prayer and song, we consider how God's gift of baptism unites us to Christ and one another, and how confession is a daily return to our baptisms.
All are welcome to join us for a soup supper served in our fellowship hall on Wednesday, December 4th, starting at 6pm.
